Andrew Gibbs’ studios are located in the central Melbourne area and offer a range of furniture design from one off, custom designs to designs for lager scale manufacturing. A close working relationship is maintained throughout the projects life, which typically includes the furniture design and documentation stage and the prototyping and fabrication of the project.
Landscape Architectural work in Melbourne, London and Malaysia has informed and influenced the design and production of our exterior product ranges.
For one off design and production furniture pieces we have a full woodworking machine shop and for larger unique projects, we have an extensive network of fabrication expertise to draw upon.
Projects with varying degrees of design input are taken on in Andrew Gibbs’ studio. From fully designed and specified projects to the creation of new designs to suit client needs.
Special care is taken in material selection, with a bias toward recycled timber, plantation grown timber products and recycled cast alloys. Projects completed at our studio using recycled timber, show how old timber can be brought back to life displaying the character gained over years of use in another life.
